My current work is part of my finals at Solent University. The project is a dystopian first-person survival game that places the player in a future form of entertainment where competitors must survive and complete challenges to win fame and fortune.
My focus for the project is on systemic features such as crafting, combat, enemy AI, and puzzles/challenges. The game takes place in a dome, arena-like, environment containing several small- and large-scale challenges scattered across the map to promote exploration. Research and inspiration for this project come from games such as Rust, Dayz, and Ark survival evolved with narrative elements drawing similarities to the hunger games.
